Anybody got to buy boots? I have some boots which are nearing the end of their life. I got them from Decathlon and was more than happy with them. My question is, Do any of you have any experience with this type of hiking? and should I be looking to spend x amount of money on some named boots? I don’t have a budget in mind but don’t want to spend unnecessary. Any thoughts?
Hi, i've just recently brought a pair of Meindl ones that cost £135 and they were well worth the money. I would say the best bet is to try lots of different types, and you will soon realise which are most comfortable for you. We will be walking for miles, so my advice is to get ones with good ankle support and that fit nice and snug! Remember to wear them in too..
Hi, I got a pair from Blacks. They are called Scarpa. I think they were about £80. I've walked about 80 mile sin them so far but I'm going to go on a scramble in Snowdonia in a weeks time and then do 13 miles four days on the trot at the end of September. I hoping by the end of that i will either have a comfy pair of boots or an order for a different pair !!
